What are plugs? Plugs are plants grown in 72-cell trays; each soil plug is 1.6” wide x 3.2” deep. Read more here.

Narrow-leaved Coneflower is one of our favorite garden coneflowers because of its shorter stature. It does best in dry, sunny locations. The pink, drooping petals are an excellent companion to the oranges of Butterfly Milkweed and the fine foliage of grasses and sedges. Small bees love the flowers, and green sweat bees are particularly fond of the pollen.

Songbirds can be seen eating the seeds on top of the dried flower stems throughout fall and winter. It doesn’t spread as much by seed as other Coneflowers, making it a more tidy garden plant.
