Great plant for rain gardens and moist soil. The showcase part of this plant are not the flowers, but the sword-shaped leaves which are nice lime green color and have a pleasant citronella smell when crushed.

Design Tips

Forms dense colonies, so plant in bunches of 3-5. Needs moist soil. One of the few wetland plants that can compete with invasive cattails.
