Plant Prairie Loosestrife in medium-wet soils, such as rain garden basins or lower slopes. Prairie Loosestrife (Lysimachia quadriflora) grows very vigorously and has the ability to grow roots wherever the stems touch the ground—making it a valuable plant in new rain gardens where plants often get buried by mulch.
