Pre-Order and Shipping Guarantee:

If you are unhappy with the quality of your plants, or if you believe they were harmed during shipping, please take a picture of the plants and send it to us within 30 days of receiving them and we will offer a full or partial refund, depending on the issue. We usually offer a full refund—if you’re not happy, we’re not happy. Please be aware of what you are purchasing beforehand—most plants are seedlings under 8” tall and most will take a year to bloom and reach mature size. Many of our plant pages have pictures of the potted plants and an approximate plant size you can expect. Our shipping boxes are packed very securely and clearly labeled “Live Plants” so the plants arrive safely.

Shipping Dates:

During checkout you will be asked to select a date for shipping—your plants will arrive within 2-3 days of your selected date, usually the Thursday-Friday before your scheduled date. You will get an email reminder a month beforehand and an email when they ship. We ship our plants when they are fully rooted and ready to ship in May—we cannot ship earlier than these dates. We pack and send out the plants every Monday and Tuesday during shipping season. Our shipping dates fill up so order early for the earlier shipping dates. Be aware, especially if you live on the far East or West Coast, that any delays caused by UPS might cause your plants to arrive the Monday after your selected date (this is a very rare occurrence).

Shipping Costs:

Shipping and handling costs are approximately $18-$36 per box (calculated automatically at checkout). This includes shipping costs, packaging supplies, and the time to ship each box. One box can fit up to 21 of our 3” pots (7 of the 3-packs), 6 of our 12-packs of plugs, or one of our 72-plant garden kit trays. We have a minimum shipping and handling fee which is the equivalent of shipping one box of 21 pots (for example, an order for 3 pots would have the same shipping and handling fee as an order for 21 pots). We recommend optimizing your shipping costs by filling up each box.

Cancellation Policy:

Pre-orders have an effect on how many plants we transplant and grow. Prior to May 1st, if you cancel within 2 weeks of placing the order, there is a 100% refund; within 2-4 weeks, a 75% refund; after 4 weeks, a 50% refund. After May 1st, no refunds will be available. We cannot cancel or change individual parts of an order.

To order plants for shipping:

  1. During the “Shipping” part of checkout, select “UPS Ground”.

  2. On our checkout form, select a date to receive your plants. They will arrive within 2 to 3 days of this selected date, usually the Thursday or Friday beforehand.

When you receive your plants, take them out of the box, water them if they seem dry and place them in a sheltered area before planting. They need natural light—do not store them indoors. Plant them as soon as possible because they can dry out quickly on hot windy days!
