What are plugs? Plugs are plants grown in 72-cell trays; each soil plug is 1.6” wide x 3.2” deep. They are a great option for planting large gardens. We plant all of our own projects with plugs.

Hummingbirds love the bright red flowers of Cardinal Flower. Very eye-catching when planted in a drift in a rain garden or shady garden. Cardinal Flower starts out as a small rosette of leaves, and then shoots up before bursting with color. It likes wetter soil and shady conditions, but it can handle a very wide range of sun and soil conditions. It can be short-lived in gardens.
