Spring blooming flower for sunny and semi-shady locations. Long stems rise above thick foliage, with flowers that look like shooting stars. This is a spring ephemeral—it goes dormant during the summer. Shooting Star takes 2-3 years to bloom. The 2nd year plants Shooting Star plants we have for sale are shipped with green leaves which will go dormant after a month or so, usually flowering the next spring.
