Prairie Pussytoes is one of the shortest groundcovers for dry, sunny spots. It is also great for rock gardens and alternative lawns. Prairie Pussytoes spreads by above ground runners to form short mats on the ground with fuzzy seadheads in the spring. It is a host plant for the caterpillars of American Painted Lady butterflies—having this plant in your garden means that you will have swarms of Painted Lady butterflies in summer.
